Google Chrome Now Able To Run PC Games

Many treat Google Chrome like any other browser, but Google seems this application as a platform separated from operating systems. Whether you run this web browser on your PC, Mac or Linux, it can remain synchronized on all the computers owned by a user only by using a Google account. The sync includes bookmarks as well as new web applications compatible with the web browser.

Well, now that Google is trying to push the Chrome OS and Chromebooks more aggressively on the market, Google also needs attractive apps. And what can be more attractive than games ?

What is interesting is that games like Angry Birds or Plants Vs. Zombies were not enough. Google wants to compare the Chrome offer with what we find in Windows and Mac OS libraries, and the first game to be available for Chrome thanks to this initiative is Bastion, one of the best independent games in 2011.

By accessing this address – https://chrome.google.com/webstore/detail/oohphhdkahjlioohbalmicpokoefkgid – from Google Chrome you can play the demo version of the game, and if this doesn’t convinces you you can purchase it using Google Wallet at a price of $15.

In case you are wondering how this game works on Google Chrome, it seems that the only thing needed is Native Client, integrated in Chrome a few months ago.

Considering that in 2012 we are going to also receive gamepads support, Google Chrome browser might soon become the perfect choice for any Internet user who wants to be able to do anything within the web browser. All we need now is to also receive services like Google Music all over the world.
